SHIRLEY (2020) Stream on Hulu, or rent or buy on Amazon, Apple TV, FandangoNOW, Google Play or Vudu. This thriller transports us into the mind of the eccentric horror writer Shirley Jackson. Fred (Logan Lerman) and Rose (Odessa Young), a young couple, are offered to stay with Shirley (Elisabeth Moss) and her husband Stanley (Michael Stuhlbarg), a professor and literary critic, at their house in Vermont. But the arrangement slowly starts to feel like a trap. Stanley treats Fred as a professional grunt, while Shirley sees Rose as a muse for her next novel. The movie isn’t factual — the filmmaker Josephine Decker (“Madeline’s Madeline”) drew from the novel of the same name by Susan Scarf Merrell. But the formula works. In his review for The New York Times, A.O. Scott wrote that “Shirley is a mystery and a monster, and ‘Shirley’ is at once a sincere tribute and a sly hatchet job.”

EL PRESIDENTE Stream on Amazon. This new dramedy series reimagines the 2015 scandal that rocked FIFA, the governing body of international soccer. It centers on Sergio Jadue (Andrés Parra), the president of a small soccer club in Chile who rises through the ranks of South American soccer only to be caught in a $150 million bribery scheme.

DEAR CLASS OF 2020 3 p.m. on YouTube. Public figures across the world have been showing their support for seniors who are missing out on rites of passage because of the coronavirus. In May, Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak of “The Office” hosted a star-studded virtual graduation on Facebook. Oprah Winfrey gave the commencement address. Then the former first lady Michelle Obama and MTV threw a virtual “Prom-athon” for high school seniors. Now, YouTube is celebrating the class of 2020 with its own graduation event, featuring commencement speeches by Barack and Michelle Obama, BTS, Lady Gaga and more. Other celebrities, including Beyoncé, Alicia Keys and Taylor Swift, will also make appearances.

YVONNE ORJI: MOMMA I MADE IT! (2020) 10 p.m. on HBO; stream on HBO platforms. Yvonne Orji is most known for playing Molly, Issa Rae’s best friend, on the HBO series “Insecure.” But the actress has long had a passion for stand-up comedy — one she chased after years of working toward a career in medicine. In this part stand-up, part documentary special, Orji reflects on her Nigerian-American upbringing and explains how God encouraged her to pursue comedy after she entered a beauty pageant. She also visits Nigeria to convey how her culture influences her bits. (She boasts her haggling skills and says Nigerians prefer putting curses on people over cursing them out.) Orji is most relatable, though, when describing her mother’s response to her decision to become a comedian: “So you want to prostitute yourself all over the world?” AD ASTRA, a sci-fi flick starring Brad Pitt, leads in at 8 p.m.
