“Great Performances: She Loves Me,” 9 p.m., PBS. At work, these two battle and bicker; at home, each has an anonymous pen pal — unaware they’re writing to each other. Yes, that sounds familiar. The story has become three movies, a play and this musical, which reached Broadway three times. This is the third one — light comedy, vibrant music, Tony-winning set and Tony-nominated performances by Zachary Levi, Laura Benanti and Jane Krakowski. It starts a five-Friday stretch of theater reruns.
Baseball, ESPN and MLBN. It’s the first full (almost) day of baseball. Only the Yankees and Nationals — who had the opening game Thursday — aren’t scheduled. ESPN has a tripleheader: Braves and Mets at 4 p.m., Brewers and Cubs at 7, Angels and A’s at 10. Also, MLBN has the Tigers and Reds at 6:10 p.m. and the Mariners and Astros at 9:10.
“The Greatest #AtHome Videos,” 8 p.m., CBS. More than other networks, CBS has pushed for specials adapted to the pandemic. This is the second one featuring videos — some funny, some warm — that people made during stay-at-home time. Cedric the Entertainer again hosts.
“Magnum P.I.,” 9 p.m., CBS. “Hawaii Five-0” has ended its 10-season run, but some of its people are in this crossover rerun. Junior has been kidnapped and most of the Five-O team has been rounded up by the CIA. Tani and Quinn ask Magnum and Higgins for help.
Movies. Two new ones stream today. Amazon Prime’s “Radioactive” has Oscar-nominee Rosamund Pike (“Gone Girl”) as Marie Curie; Netflix’s “Kissing Booth 2” has Emmy-nominee Joey King (“The Act”) in a sequel to her teen romance. Also, cable has two best-actor/actress Oscar-winners. It’s Joaquin Phoenix in “Joker” (2019), at 7:55 p.m. on HBO’ and Brie Larson in Room (2015) at 8 p.m. on Showtime. Both films were best-picture nominees.
