Drive-in movies are one of the few socially distant entertainment options available to people this summer, and many theaters are trying to shift to accommodate the outdoor format.
One such theater, Harrisburg’s Midtown Cinema, has announced their Carpool Cinema events, which will be held outdoors at the Farm Show Complex.
Screenings of two beloved Stephen Spielberg films will be held in August: “Jurassic Park” will be screened on August 8 (rain date of August 9), and “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial” will be shown on August 29 (rain date August 30). Both movies will have matinee showings at 4 p.m. as well as evening showings at 8 p.m.
Audience members are asked to follow all public health guidelines, including wearing masks when outside of their vehicles. Public restrooms will be available.
Tickets can be purchased online, and prices are $15 per vehicle for the matinee showings and $25 for evenings. For more information, visit the Midtown Cinema website.
