As a Comcast subscriber, it’s beyond ridiculous Nuggets and Avalanche games aren’t being aired on Altitude. Why are fans being punished over their ineptitude to figure it out? It’s a joke.
Laurie, not amused
Kiz: Throughout the course of this pandemic, when we longed for a good hug, Comcast and Altitude instead have instead thrown mud. Who would’ve thought this television tiff would be harder to eradicate than COVID-19? It has done a disservice to Nikola Jokic, Nathan MacKinnon and most of all, local fans searching for a reason to smile.
I watch condensed YouTube highlights from the Nugs and Avs every morning with my son, but it’s not the same as watching an entire game. Kroenke Sports & Entertainment missed a huge opportunity to capitalize on the fact the Broncos and Rockies have been terrible the past couple of years, while KSE has the best shows in town, with an MVP and Stanley Cup contender.
Zakaveli, irked
Kiz: Old-school fans often lack the tech savvy to pirate and live-stream games, while there are elementary-school kids in Denver with no memory of seeing Joker or MacK play on TV. The Nuggets and Avs are killing off their fanbase on both ends of the age spectrum.
I can’t believe this dispute has lasted three seasons. I have been able to watch the games (cough), but since I can’t easily get it on our family’s television, I watch alone in my office, instead of alongside my 8- and 10-year-old kids.

Kiz: Two of the coolest things I love about sports? No. 1: A winning team can foster a sense of community pride. No. 2: A big game is capable of getting our noses unstuck from the cell phone and bring families together around the TV. So ain’t it sad that pirating a Nuggets telecast has become just another excuse for a father to go hole up alone in the den?
This is a lost season for the Nuggets and that’s sad, considering the talent we’ve put together. I don’t understand how a pro athlete isn’t ready 12 months after an ACL tear.
Matt, patience taxed
Kiz: In projecting guard Jamal Murray to return about April 1 from a torn ACL, I was guilty of being overly optimistic (as is my wont). Blame me. Cut Murray some slack. After a serious injury, the last big challenge for an athlete is getting his mind right.
At the end of last season, the Broncos and Drew Lock were a fumble away from beating Kansas City, who barely won without an injured Tyreek Hill for most of the game. With the addition of Russell Wilson at quarterback, the Broncos have a shot to dethrone the Chiefs as AFC West champs.
J.D., proud girl dad
Kiz: The trade of Hill to Miami was the beginning of the end for the Chiefs’ six-year reign as kings of the AFC West.
And today’s parting shot is a neighbor kindly checking on this old sports hack to say “Hello, in there” and make certain everything is OK with me. (My story, sticking to it.)
Kiz, I thought you passed away. Glad to hear you are still relevant.
