These days, with so many streaming services at our disposal, it can feel almost impossible to settle on something to watch. We find ourselves scrolling and scrolling for so long that ultimately, we just end up turning off the TV and going to bed.
But even when sites like Netflix offer us their most-watched titles, it still feels hard to pick amongst all the trending TV shows and movies (not to mention, just because it's trending, doesn't always mean it's good).
Luckily, we've decided to make this process a little easier by rounding up some of the best shows and movies from various streaming services, in order to turn that endless scroll into a problem of the past. From hidden reality show gems like Single's Inferno to recent rom-coms like I Want You Back, these are what you should turn to first if you need something to watch.
3. ‘Single’s Inferno’
Sure, everyone may be talking about Love Is Blind, but if you're looking for an underrated reality dating show, why not check out Single's Inferno. In her recent review, PureWow editor Jenny Jin said, “Between the beautiful scenery (and, um, people), the welcome sense of escapism as we enter another year of the pandemic and the sort of low-stakes drama that isn't emotionally draining, [this show] was exactly what I needed at this moment.”
5. ‘Severance’
Apple TV+'s new workplace drama may only be four episodes in, but it's already caught our attention. Starring big names like Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette and Christopher Walken, the show was recently praised by PureWow VP of News and Entertainment, Philip Mutz, who said the storytelling is “slow but satisfying” and added, “The staggered action is totally worth the wait, as are the juicy twists and turns (such as the huge reveal in the last seconds of the first episode).”
