As you’re hunkered down for the second winter in a row, you may be running out of things to keep yourself occupied. You’ve watched all the shows, done all the easy DIY projects around the house and baked all the bread. What’s left? How about watching movies featuring bugs and collecting data on them? Yup, that’s a thing you can currently do to earn money. Here’s what to know and how to apply.
What the job entails
The chosen candidate will be required to watch 10 bug-related movies in a short amount of time, while taking notes and tracking details in each film. Specifically, they’ll have to watch these movies and complete their worksheet reports over the course of one week:
- A Bug’s Life
- Antz
- James and the Giant Peach
- Bee Movie
- Eight-Legged Freaks
- Arachnophobia
- Them!
- Ant-Man
- The Fly
- Starship Troopers
The gig pays $1,500. On top of that, Pest Pro Search (the company currently hiring for this position), will reimburse you for any movies you have to purchase (on Amazon Prime), and give you up to $50 for snacks.
The ideal candidate
In addition to being at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, the ideal applicant will have:
- Enthusiasm for films, especially ones that are bug-related.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability and availability to binge-watch 10 movies in a short amount of time.
