Chuck Barney’s TV and streaming picks for March 1-7

DON’T MISS: “Hillary” — Deftly directed by Nanette Burstein, this captivating four-part documentary series offers a thorough examination of the life and 2016 presidential campaign of Hillary Rodham Clinton. Burstein drew from 35 hours of one-on-one interviews with her subject, 1,700 hours of campaign footage and a wealth of archival materials to produce an extraordinarily intimate portrait of a public figure. Also featuring interviews with Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, friends, journalists and politicians from both sides of the aisle, the series examines how she became at once one of “the most admired and vilified women in the world.” (Friday, Hulu).

Other bets:

SUNDAY: Jason Segel (“How I Met Your Mother”) created and stars in the trippy new anthology series “Dispatches From Elsewhere.” It follows four strangers — including one played by Sally Field — who embark on an elaborate scavenger hunt and find themselves faced with a world of possibility and magic. (10 p.m., AMC).

MONDAY: “Breeders” is an offbeat comedy series starring Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard as a couple struggling mightily to be good parents to their young children. As they juggle full-time careers, aging parents, a mortgage and turbulence in their relationship, they often fall far short of that goal. (10 p.m., FX).

TUESDAY: “Empire” returns from its winter break and the countdown to the series finale begins. The Lyons’ world is turned upside down as they face a loss, which forces one family member to deal with an unresolved trauma. (9 p.m., Fox).

WEDNESDAY: You might find yourself gasping for breath during “Volcano Live! With Nik Wallenda.” It’s a special in which the daredevil will attempt what is described as his “most dangerous high-wire walk yet” — over the active Masaya Volcano in Nicaragua. (8 p.m., ABC).

WEDNESDAY: Created by Lena Waithe, “Twenties” is a new comedy series that follows the adventures of a queer black girl named Hattie (Jonica T. Gibbs) and her two best friends, Marie (Christina Elmore) and Nia (Gabrielle Graham), as they chase their dreams in Los Angeles. (10 p.m., BET).

WEDNESDAY: Hoop fans have March Madness, and now foodies have their own bracket-style “Tournament of Champions.” Hosted and executive produced by Guy Fieri, it’s a culinary competition that has 16 celebrity chefs facing off in single-elimination challenges. (10 p.m., Food Network).

THURSDAY: The new sci-fi thriller “Devs” follows a young software engineer (Sonoya Mizuno) at a cutting-edge Silicon Valley tech company. When her boyfriend goes missing, she suspects that the secret development division of the company has something to do with it. (FX on Hulu).

THURSDAY: Brace yourself for more hilarious happenings as “Better Things” returns for its fourth season. Apparently, Sam (Pamela Adlon) is going through a midlife crisis, which should bug the heck out of her three precocious daughters. (10 p.m., FX).

FRIDAY: There’s more drama on “Blue Bloods” as Jamie comes under investigation after his police vest is found on a perp. Also, Frank debates whether to aid and protect an old friend (Ed Asner), whose home was invaded. (10 p.m., CBS).

SATURDAY: Daniel Craig, who stars in the upcoming James Bond film “No Time to Die,” takes on the hosting duties for tonight’s edition of “Saturday Night Live.” The musical guest is The Weeknd. (11:30 p.m., NBC).
