Week 8 of the 2021 NFL season won't be impacted nearly as much by bye weeks as the league was in Week 7. Six teams were out of action in Week 7. In Week 8, only two teams — the Raiders and Ravens — will have a week off. That means there will be a 12-game slate on Sunday afternoon. The previous two weeks, there had only been 10 games.
The increase in games also means that we'll see a more normal-looking NFL slate. On Sunday afternoon, there will be eight games that begin at 1 p.m. ET. Then, there will be four games that begin in the afternoon window between 4:05 p.m. and 4:25 p.m. ET.
For yet another week, CBS and Fox are splitting the presentation of the games right down the middle. CBS will broadcast six and Fox will broadcast six as well. This week, Fox will get the main slate doubleheader while CBS will show just one game in each regional market.

Fox's early-game coverage features seven NFC teams and just one AFC team. The Rams are the best team playing in that window, but they are facing the Texans, so while they may be the default game for some areas, it seems more likely that Fox will split the coverage evenly among their four games.
In the late window, however, the Buccaneers at Saints game will be the big draw and will be seen by a majority of the country.
As for CBS, they will have an intriguing game featuring the Steelers and the Browns which figures to be the best draw of their slate. Two other top teams from the AFC, the Bills and the Bengals, will also be in action during the early slate. They are playing the Dolphins and Jets respectively, however, so their audiences might be mostly regional considering that those two teams aren't very good.

TV schedule for NFL Week 8 games
Below are the Sunday afternoon games that will be broadcast regionally. "Sunday Night Football" will feature a matchup between the Cowboys and Vikings. Both teams are coming off a bye week and the Vikings will look to avenge their 31-28 loss at the hands of Andy Dalton last year.
"Monday Night Football" will feature the Chiefs facing the Giants. The Chiefs are once again below .500 at 3-4 and are coming off a blowout loss against the Titans. The Giants, meanwhile, just beat the Panthers by 22 points, so they could pose a tougher test for the Chiefs than most realize.
