What channel is the NASCAR All-Star Race on today? TV schedule, start time for Texas - Sporting News

maleomales.blogspot.com

The TV channel for Sunday's NASCAR All-Star Race and All-Star Open is the same as it was last week — but that will change next weekend.

Both races at Texas Motor Speedway will be shown on FS1. These will be the final races on Fox/FS1 this season. NBC and NBCSN will take over coverage with the June 20 race at Nashville and continue to provide it through the playoffs in the fall.

NASCAR ALL-STAR RACE: Format, changes for 2021 race

FS1 is going out with a 100-lap exhibition that will feature the best drivers in the series, recent race winners and a long-ago All-Star Race winner. That race will be preceded by the Open, where 22 drivers will be battling for three spots in the All-Star Race field. The Open is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET, with the All-Star Race set to start at 8:10 p.m.

Below is how to watch the NASCAR All-Star Race at Texas, including the TV channel and live stream options.

What channel is NASCAR on today?

This is Fox and FS1's final race telecast of the season. NBC and NBC Sports Network will take over coverage with the June 20 race at Nashville Superspeedway and keep providing it through the playoffs.

As has been the case for all Cup Series races on Fox and FS1 this season, Mike Joy will call the All-Star Race with analysts Jeff Gordon, Clint Bowyer and Larry McReynolds. Jamie Little, Regan Smith and Vince Welch are Fox/FS1's pit reporters.

FS1 will begin its All-Star Race coverage with "NASCAR RaceDay" at 5 p.m. ET.

What time does the NASCAR All-Star Race start today?

  • Race: NASCAR All-Star Race (and Open) at Texas Motor Speedway
  • Date: Sunday, June 13
  • Start time: 6 p.m. ET (Open) | 8 p.m. ET (All-Star Race)

The green flag for the Open, a qualifying race for drivers who didn't automatically make the All-Star field, will wave shortly after 6 p.m. ET. The Open will set the 18th through 20th positions in the 21-car field.

The 21st and last spot in the field will go the winner of an online fan vote. If the top vote-getter also wins a stage in the Open, then the driver with the second-most votes will get in, and so on, until a driver is chosen.

The All-Star Race is scheduled to start at 8:10 p.m. ET. As of Saturday night, the weather was expected to cooperate. The National Weather Service's nighttime forecast for the track in Fort Worth, Texas, was for clear skies and a low temperature in the low to mid-70s. Daytime temperatures were expected to reach the mid- to upper 90s, however, and the heat index was forecast to climb over 100 degrees.
