Pals Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo are back with even bigger adventures in New York’s Central Park Zoo in season 4 of the Dreamworks animated series “Madagascar: A Little Wild,” premiering Aug. 6 on Hulu.

• “Cooking With Paris”: Socialite and influencer Paris Hilton turns the traditional cooking show upside down with the help of celebrity friends in a series inspired by her viral YouTube video. Available on Netflix.

• “Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami”: Fifteen years after the release of his cult classic film comes director Billy Corben’s Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami, a six-part saga on the South Florida traffickers indicted in one of the largest drug cases in U.S. history. Streaming on Netflix.

• “The L Word: Generation Q”: Season 2 premieres Sunday, Aug. 8, on Showtime with returning cast Jennifer Beals, Kate Moennig and Leisha Hailey joining a new group of tightknit lesbian friends experiencing setbacks and success in  LA.

• “Mr. Corman”: Joseph Gordon-Levitt wrote, directed and stars in his first TV series in four years about a depressed public schoolteacher in the San Fernando Valley who has given up his musical dreams, premiering Aug. 6 on Apple TV+. • “Obama: In Pursuit of a More Perfect Union”: This three-part docuseries brings insight into the former president’s childhood and influences including conversations with colleagues, friends and critics, streaming on HBO Max.

• “Reservation Dogs”: In FX’s new indigenous comedy series from Taika Waititi and Sterlin Harjo, four Oklahoma teens try to get money to travel to California any way they can. It premieres Aug. 9 on FX on Hulu.

• “UFO”: This four-part docuseries from J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and Glen Zipper explores our fascination with unidentified flying objects, and tries to separate truth from tantalizing fiction about what clandestine influence the American government, private companies and the military may have in shielding the truth to further their own agendas. Series premieres Aug. 8 on Showtime.
