After a seemingly endless parade of injuries, it looks like the Seattle Sounders may finally be approaching something close to full strength. The injury report for tonight’s game against FC Dallas lists “only” four players as out and four others as questionable, most intriguingly Nicolás Lodeiro. Combined with the return of Cristian Roldan from international duty, the Sounders could potentially fill out their 20-man gameday roster for the first time all season.

The return to health could not come at a better time. The Sounders are experiencing their first slump of the season, having dropped two straight — both at home — and 3 of 4. Although they still lead the Western Conference, the Sounders have dropped four points behind the pace in the Supporters’ Shield race.

The Sounders will also be trying to avoid losing three straight home games for just the second time in their MLS history. The only other time they lost three straight was from May-July 2016, a streak that preceded Sigi Schmid’s firing.

They will be looking to avoid a repeat against an opponent they’ve handled well, at least at home. The Sounders have only lost to FC Dallas once in their previous 17 meetings in Seattle and are currently riding a 14-game unbeaten streak against them that includes wins in the last two postseasons. The Sounders hold a 13-1-3 all-time advantage against Dallas at home.

Dallas come into Lumen Field riding a bit of a high, however. After losing their first even road games of the season, Dallas did the Sounders a solid over the weekend by beating second-place Sporting KC 2-1.

• The Sounders have conceded an MLS-high four penalties this season, allowing three goals, tied for most in MLS with CF Montréal. There have been seven penalties awarded in Sounders matches (three for), more than any other team in the league this season.
• Both Paxton Pomykal and Jesús Ferreira’s goals against Sporting Kansas City on Saturday came from outside the box, Dallas’s first goals from outside the area this season. The Sounders have conceded four goals from outside the penalty area, three of which were from direct free kicks.
• Leading the way for FC Dallas has been 18-year-old Ricardo Pepi, who has eight goals. His .84 goals per 90 is the third highest in MLS.
