The WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational signals the conclusion of a long 2021 regular season for most of the best in the world who are teeing it up at TPC Southwind this week. After a summer full of big-time tournaments, that regular season draws to a close next week at the Wyndham Championship, which the majority of top players will skip to prepare for the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
This is also the second consecutive limited-field, no-cut tournament following last week's 2020 Tokyo Olympics competition. While that field featured some of the best players in the world, this one features nearly all of them with World No. 1 Jon Rahm the lone top 25 player not in attendance.
