“Manifest” (8 p.m., NBC): The trippy, twisty plane-crash mystery returns for a third season. Over a year has passed since the miraculous homecoming of Flight 828 and the discovery of others who have mysteriously returned. While the Stone family endeavors to keep their friends safe and make their enemies believe the unbelievable, new challenges will test their trust of the callings and each other. In tonight’s opener, Ben heads on an international mission with Vance to seek a clue in hopes of finally unlocking the mystery of the flight. An intense calling leads newlyweds Michaela and Zeke on an adventure of their own. A guilt-ridden Saanvi attempts to forget her past sins by starting a new chapter. And Jared’s interest is piqued by an intriguing stranger.

“Top Chef” (8 p.m., Bravo): Fifteen culinary stars in training — including Oakland’s Nelson German — head to Portland, Oregon, to serve up another spicy season of the delectable competition. For the first time ever, a collection of all-star winners, finalists and favorites will join an elite rotating judging panel to critique the contestants.

“The United States of Al” (8:30 p.m., CBS): This new sitcom from Chuck Lorre has already drawn criticism from people who haven’t seen it. The show focuses on the bond between Riley (Parker Young), a Marine combat veteran struggling to readjust to civilian life in Ohio, and Awalmir (“Al”) (Kalyan), the Interpreter who served with his unit in Afghanistan and has just arrived to start a new life in America.

“Grey’s Anatomy” (9 p.m., ABC): The hospital ventilator shortage has the doctors gravely concerned when both a mother and daughter are in critical condition with COVID and fighting over the last ventilator. Meanwhile, Hayes’ high-risk sister-in-law with multiple sclerosis ends up in the hospital with a kidney stone, and the sister house has a few more kids join it as Amelia plays babysitter for the day.

“Law & Order: SVU” (9 p.m., NBC): Nearly 10 years after leaving the “Law and Order” universe, one of its most beloved characters — Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) — returns in this highly anticipated crossover. Stabler and his former longtime partner, Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) are reunited but not all is joyous as the squad rallies around Det. Stabler to find the suspect behind a threat to his family. The episode serves as a launching pad for Meloni’s new spin-off series, “Law and Order: Organized Crime.”

“Law & Order: Organized Crime” (10 p.m., NBC): The “Law & Ordrer” franchise expands yet again as Stabler returns to the NYPD to to lead an elite task force aimed at taking down powerful criminal syndicates. His return comes on the heels of a devastating personal loss. But the city and police department have changed dramatically in the decade he’s been away and he must adapt to a criminal justice system in the midst of its own moment of reckoning.
