TV and streaming picks for Wednesday, Sept. 23

WATCH THIS:

Giraffe and host Nick Cannon

“The Masked Singer” (8 p.m., Fox): TV’s biggest costume party is back for Season 4, promising more outrageous disguises (double-headed Snow Owls?!) and some occasionally decent singing. Viewers can cast their votes and play alongside host Nick Cannon and panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke. We’re told that this season’s celebrity contestants combined have sold more than 281 million records worldwide, appeared in more than 5,120 episodes of television and 204 films, appeared in five Super Bowls, have four stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People. Got all that? There will be a quiz at the end of the season.

“America’s Got Talent” (9 p.m., NBC): On Tuesday, the final 10 acts  — Archie Williams, Alan Silva, Roberta Battaglia, Cristina Rae, Brandon Leake, Daneliya Tuleshova, BAD Salsa, Bello Sisters, Kenadi Dodds and Broken Roots — performed one last time. Now, it’s finally time to name the winner — but not before lots of padding, and appearances by some special guests.

“I Can See Your Voice” (9 p.m., Fox): Looking to match up “The Masked Singer” with another offbeat guessing game, Fox presents this difficult-to-explain series. Host Ken Jeong is joined by permanent panelists Cheryl Hines and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton and an additional rotating panel of celebrity detectives, comprised of comedians, pop culture experts and a musical superstar. Their job is to help a contestant tell the difference between good and bad singers, without ever hearing them sing a note. With $100,000 on the line and the celebrity panel by their side, our contestant, will attempt to weed out the bad “Secret Voices” from the good, based on a series of clues, interrogation and lip synch challenges. In the end, the singer whom the contestant picks will reveal if they are good or bad in a duet performance with Nick Lachey, resulting in an amazing musical collaboration or a totally hilarious train wreck.

“Agents of Chaos” (9 p.m., HBO): This two-part documentary, directed by Alex Gibney, is a product of years of reporting on Russian interference in the 2016 election. With never-before-seen footage inside the Russian troll farms, and videos unearthed from the Russian deep web, the film digs deep into the sophisticated plans to undermine democracy, raising the alarm for the American public, but also proving that these “agents of chaos” weren’t Russians alone. They were also key players in the United States who, through venality, corruption or circumstance, furthered Putin’s goals, with a vulnerable and unsuspecting American public as their target.

“Coroner” (9 p.m., The CW): In the season finale, a death hits close to home for the team. As Dr. Cooper, Detective McAvoy, Dr. Allen, River Baitz, and Detectives Malik Abed and Taylor Kim meticulously unravel the case, evidence is uncovered indicating they have stumbled onto something much bigger than expected. In the meantime, Ross finds himself on a personal journey, and Liam reveals his feelings for Jenny. In an unexpected final twist, Jenny’s past and present collide, revealing truths she wasn’t prepared to face.
