SATURDAY

“Love in the Time of Corona,” 8 and 8:30 p.m., Freeform; concludes Sunday. Here are dramas of human isolation — filmed in isolated conditions. Some stories cast families — Leslie Odom Jr. and his wife Nicolette Robinson, Gil Bellows and his wife and daughter — or friends. Others use videochats or clever balcony scenes. We see the subtle effects of proximity — friends who could be more, a secret break-up, a forced separation, etc. The results are predictable, but skillfully written and acted.

“Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. “SNL” grabbed a pile of Emmy nominations this year, including three for its regulars (Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong, Kenan Thompson), one for a guest (Maya Rudolph) and three for hosts — Eddie Murphy, Brad Pitt and Adam Driver. Here’s Driver’s episode, from Jan. 25, which also has great work from Halsey as the music guest.

“Sharknado” marathon, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Syfy. Two marathons — “Shark Week” and “Sharkfest” — have ended now, but we won’t be left sharkless. This channel offers its quirky films in reverse order: “Last Sharknado: It’s About Time” (2018) is 8:30 a.m. and others follow, leading to “Sharknado II: The Second One” (2014) at 4:30 p.m. and the original “Sharknado” (2013) at 6:30. Don’t worry; those first two films (2014 and 2013) will also run at 1 and 3 p.m. Sunday.

“Magnum P.I.,” 8 p.m., CBS. This was supposed to be when CBS had a pre-season, pro-football game. The entire pre-season was scuttled, but sports fans can find baseball and boxing on Fox and the basketball play-offs everywhere — 1 and 3:30 p.m. on TNT, 6 p.m. on ESPN, 8:30 on ABC. Meanwhile, CBS has a rerun, with Magnum trying a bold move to keep Higgins in the country.

“Queen & Slim” (2019), 8 p.m., HBO. Lena Waithe, the “The Chi” creator, wrote this richly layered script about a couple that sees a first date grow into a life-and-death crisis. It’s part of an HBO night viewing the Black experience in fact (“Harriet,” 2019, at 5:50 p.m.), fiction (“Queen & Slim”) and fantasy-fiction (a “Lovecraft Country” episode at 10:15).
