“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” series finale, 9 and 10 p.m., ABC. A hugely ambitious effort — seven seasons and 136 episodes, leaping across planets and across time — concludes. Sybil — who got inside the computer system — and Nathanial are close to eliminating S.H.I.E.L.D. from ever existing. Leo Fitz, who was killed in one timeline, is back. So are Piper, Davis, Enoch and Flint in battles to save the world.
“The 100,” 8 p.m., CW. You can make it a full sci-fi evening by catching this surprisingly good episode. Right now, Clarke and her colleagues are at a standstill. The heroic Bellamy was apparently killed. The Shepherd and his disciples are demanding what they call “the key” to ultimate victory. What follows tonight is basically a two-person drama; beautifully written, it’s acted with subtle perfection.
“The Coroner,” 9 p.m., CW. It’s an extraordinary night for this micro-network, with two excellent hours. In last week’s opener, Dr. Jenny Cooper’s husband died of a heart attack, leaving her and their teen son with a mountain of debts from his gambling losses. Now she’s Toronto’s crime-solving coroner. In this hour, she uses her own experience to break through to a young widow.
“World of Dance” finale, 9:01 p.m., NBC. Here’s another step in a no-rerun night. On Tuesday, the show put two more acts into the championship. That gives us four varied and gifted contenders.
“Impact of Hate: Charlottesville,” 9-11 p.m., Investigation Discovery, rerunning at midnight. Three years ago today a car slammed into counter-protesters in Virginia, killing one person and injuring 19. The driver was convicted of murder, but controversy lingers. The event started with a “Unite the Right” march that included white supremacists and alt-right; President Trump later said there were “very fine people on both sides.” This special talks to survivors and to Mike Signer, the former mayor.
