Thanks to the The Montalbán theater, going to the movies during the novel coronavirus pandemic doesn’t have to just be a fantasy.

The Hollywood theater, which is named after actor Ricardo Montalbán of “Fantasy Island” fame, will launch its Rooftop Movies at The Montalbán series Friday, Aug. 14.

The three-weekend series will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings through Aug. 30 with a single movie screened each night.

It’s starts Aug. 14 with 2017s “La La Land,” followed the next evening by Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood” and Spike Lee’s “BlacKkKlansman” closing out the first weekend on Sunday.

Tickets for the movies cost $30 per person and must be purchased in advance. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the movies begin 15 minutes after sunset. People will have to wear masks until they take their seats, which will be socially distanced. Family members will be able to sit closer together.
