It was a pretty simple, but very fun idea: Round up some celebrities — along with their families — to perform classic Disney tunes in their homes, while encouraging viewers to give their own vocal cords a workout.

And giving everyone much-needed relief from the social-distancing blues.

ABC struck ratings gold in April with “The Disney family Singalong.” So you just knew that they would do a follow-up with a fresh roster of celebrities. And lord knows, there are many more and Disney tunes to belt out.

“The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II” airs at 7 p.m. Sunday on ABC, just before “American Idol.” The list of celebrities this time includes Billy Eichner, Josh Gad, Donald Glover, Derek Hough, Julianne Hough, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Idina Menzel, Miguel, Keke Palmer, Katy Perry, Ben Platt, Seth Rogen, Anika Noni Rose, Rebel Wilson, Shakira and more.

Other Sunday highlights:

“American Idol” (8 p.m., ABC): In the hybrid Disney and Mother’s Day show, the remaining finalists will perform two songs each; one from the renowned Disney songbook and the second dedicated to the mother figures in their lives as a Mother’s Day tribute. Season two winner, Laine Hardy, returns to perform “Life is a Highway” and share his journey after winning the show last year.

“Outlander” (8 p.m., Starz): In the dramatic season finale, Claire struggles to survive brutal treatment from her captors as Jamie gathers a group of loyal men to help him rescue his wife.  Roger and Brianna’s journey takes a surprising turn.

“Batwoman” (8 p.m., The CW): In the season’s penultimate episode, when members of Gotham’s intelligentsia begin disappearing, Commander Kane, Sophie and the Crows go searching for the newest homicidal threat to the city. In the meantime, Kate is consumed with someone’s betrayal and starts questioning the loyalty of everyone around her just when she needs them most.

“I Know This Much Is True” (9 p.m., HBO): Mark Ruffalo doubles his pleasure and puts on an acting clinic in this six-part miniseries based on Wally Lamb’s bestselling novel. The 1990s-set story focuses on identical twin brothers Dominick and Thomas Birdsey (both played by Ruffalo), whose lives take very different paths, due to Thomas’ struggles with paranoid schizophrenia.

“Call Your Mother” (10 p.m. May 10, Comedy Central): Hearty laughs mix with warm memories in this timely documentary featuring interviews with comedians who discuss the bond they share with the parent they credit with being their greatest inspiration. Among the jokesters appearing in the film are Louie Anderson, Awkwafina, Jimmy Carr, Bridget Everett, Rachel Feinstein, Judah Friedlander, Jim Gaffigan, Judy Gold, Norm Macdonald, Jim Norton, Tig Notaro, Yvonne Orji, Kristen Schaal, David Spade and others.
