This week's Waste Management Phoenix Open is going to rock. TPC Scottsdale always bring the atmosphere, and this year's field is stunning with six of the top 10 in the world and 15 of the top 20. Brooks Koepka defends. Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas will go for their first win of the year. Hideki Matsuyama, who already has one victory this year and two at this tournament, will try to add to both.
Oh yeah, and the best golfer on the planet plays some of his best golf on this course. Jon Rahm comes in having done everything but win over the last six months, and now he's entering the toughest field of the year -- and at this tournament over the last decade -- trying to get one to fall.
Viktor Hovland and Patrick Cantlay are the other top-five golfers in the world who will join the mix this week as well. As will last year's winner, Brooks Koepka. They'll all take on the famous 16th and the better 17th as they vie for what would be the win of the PGA Tour year to date, and you can watch all of this all week long from TPC Scottsdale as one long lead-up to the other big event on Sunday evening.
