The ABC drama hits its best 18-49 rating in a month, while Fox's NFL telecast coasts to a primetime win.
ABC's Station 19 scored its best adults 18-49 rating in a month with its fall finale, a crossover with Grey's Anatomy. The latter show, however, came down a little in the key ad demographic. CBS' comedy lineup was also down, while Fox's NFL broadcast cruised to an across-the-board victory in primetime.
Station 19 closed out its fall run with a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49 — its highest same-day rating since the second episode of the season on Nov. 19 — and 5.63 million viewers, a small uptick from a week ago. Grey's Anatomy was off a tenth of a point in the 18-49 demo at 1.1, but its 5.66 million viewers was consistent with last week. A Million Little Things (0.5, 3.33 million) was steady in adults 18-49 but lost about 240,000 viewers week to week.
At CBS, Young Sheldon (6.86 million viewers), B Positive (4.6 million), Mom (4.59 million) and The Unicorn (3.36 million) all suffered season lows in total viewers, though Sheldon remained the most watched show in primetime after football. All four comedies also declined some in adults 18-49 compared to last week.
Thursday Night Football averaged 12.96 million viewers and a 3.4 in the 18-49 demo for Fox — down a bit from last week (13.64 million, 3.6) but up about 7 percent in total viewers from the same week last year.
On cable, Fox News' Tucker Carlson Tonight (3.28 million viewers) edged MSNBC's Rachel Maddow Show (3.24 million) for the overall viewer lead.
