XFL Games on TV Today

2 p.m. ET on FOX — MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Kevin Gilbride is back coaching in the Big Apple as the former Super Bowl-winning offensive coordinator for the Giants is hoping to lead his Guardians to success. His counterpart, Marc Trestman, has NFL experience as well, but he's had more success at other coaching stops, namely winning three Grey Cups in the CFL. Both have offensive backgrounds so plenty of attention will be paid to that side of the ball. Matt McGloin (Guardians) and Aaron Murray (Vipers) will start at quarterback for their respective teams, but don't be surprised to see others under center before this game is done.

5 p.m. ET on ESPN — Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas

The Renegades, led by former Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops, are considered by many the favorite to win the XFL title. Stoops is the marquee name when it comes to the league's coaches, so he undoubtedly would love to see his team make a statement in its first game. He has Landry Jones to lead his offense, but the former Sooner and Pittsburgh Steeler is questionable to play because of a knee injury. Stoops also will some familiar faces on the other side as BattleHawks head coach Jonathan Hayes and offensive coordinator Chuck Long both served under him at Oklahoma. St. Louis' offense is led by Jordan Ta'amu, an athletic, dual-threat quarterback who put up some big numbers at Ole Miss.
