WATCH THIS:

The 2020 NBA draft lottery (5:30 PT, ESPN): The Golden State Warriors aren’t in the postseason for the first time in six years, but there’s still a sense of suspense as Steph Curry represents the team in the festivities that will determine the NBA’s draft order. The Warriors come in with great odds of securing the top pick, but this is the second year of flattened odds in the pingpong ball derby that could lead to unexpected results. Among the top prospects are LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards. The 2020 NBA Draft will be Oct. 16 on ESPN.

Democratic National Convention (6 p.m. PT, various networks and cable news channels): The four-day virtual event concludes with former Vice President Joe Biden addressing viewers and formally accepting his party’s presidential nomination — thus setting up what is expected to be a brutally ruthless election battle with President Donald Trump. Other speakers include a few of Biden’s primary challengers — Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, former Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Ind., and businessman Andrew Yang.

“Restaurant Impossible” (9 p.m., Food Network): Robert Irvine returns to Drake’s Place in Ferguson, Missouri, where businesses have suffered due to the pandemic and the community unrest.

“Singletown” (HBO Max): This new dating series, which originally aired in the UK, begins with a unique ending as five couples press pause on their relationships and spend one summer living their best single lives in the city. The newly separated couples and their four new flatmates move into two luxury Singletown apartments, which, to their surprise, are located in the same building and come with a celebrity mentor. Supported by their mentor’s matchmaking skills, the singletons embark on an indulgent summer full of money-can’t-buy exclusive dates, out of this world parties and unforgettable experiences. At the end of each week, the couples meet to take part in the Love Locket ceremony. Will they choose to reunite and leave the show as a couple or will one, or both of them, choose to stay single and remain in Singletown?
