Add this to your list of things to look forward to in 2021: Chip and Joanna Gaines will be reviving their beloved HGTV show, Fixer Upper, for their new Magnolia Network, which is set to launch next year. According to a blog post on their website, the couple came to the decision only recently and will begin filming another season of the home improvement series in coming months.

“The day we wrapped our final episode of Fixer Upper, we really believed it was a chapter closed,” Chip writes in the post. “A bittersweet ending to a season of our lives that we couldn’t have been more grateful for. In that moment, the future was a little uncertain, but Jo and I were sure of a few things. We knew we needed a break and a moment to catch our breath.” But, the father of five continued, the couple recently realized that they really missed “that we got to do the work we love right alongside all of you [the viewers].”

The couple originally planned to launch Magnolia Network this year, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that date has been pushed back to sometime next year. “Right now, it’s important that we all continue to look out for one another by upholding the guidelines set forth by the experts, leaders, and front-line heroes working tirelessly to get us all through this difficult time,” said the Gaineses in a statement about the delay in April, noting that they would postpone the unveiling until “we can safely resume production.” In addition to the revival of Fixer Upper, Magnolia Network, which will take over Discovery’s DIY Network, will also host such series as Bespoke Kitchens; Family Dinner, hosted by Andrew Zimmern; Restoration Road; The Fieldhouse; Super Dad, starring Taylor Calmus; Home Work; The Lost Kitchen; and Inn the Works, which will revolve around the Oak Knoll Lodge in Big Bear, California. Two previously announced shows round out the network’s lineup: Growing Floret and Home on the Road.

In addition to their new TV ventures, the couple continues to nurture a robust home goods empire with Magnolia Market, their Waco-based shop; Joanna’s latest children’s book, The World Needs Who You Were Made to Be; and the Magnolia Table cookbook, among other ventures.
