We've finally arrived at the ultimate destination of the college football season, with the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship set to take place on Monday night at the Superdome in New Orleans. We have a clash of the titans on our hands as No. 1 LSU takes on No. 3 Clemson, and with this being anticipated as one of the best titles games we will see in recent memory, the storylines surrounding the game are prevalent. 

The top-ranked Tigers are led by Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Joe Burrow, who is having a historic season by every measure. But this is also a redemption tour for coach Ed Orgeron, who was once fired by Ole Miss and passed over for a head coaching opportunity by USC. But LSU isn't all offense; a defense that has been maligned at times by injuries this season is fully healthy and could be an X-factor. 

On the other side, Clemson is in the middle of what could be college football's next great dynasty. Dabo Swinney's team has won 29 straight games, meaning sophomore quarterback Trevor Lawrence has never known defeat. With a win over LSU, Clemson would have its third national title in the past four years -- and Swinney himself would be in the conversation as college football's top coach. 

While Swinney and Orgeron get all the attention as the men leading and running the operation, this game comes down to talent and playmakers, and there's an embarrassment of riches set to take the field on Monday night. According to CBS Sports' latest mock draft and prospect rankings, there will be seven 2020 NFL Draft first-round players on the field and 12 in the top 100 for April's draft.
