When is the 2020 Super Bowl: Time, date, schedule, live stream, TV channel, more to know about Super Bowl LIV - CBS Sports

The path to Super Bowl LIV wasn't without its road bumps for either the San Francisco 49ers or the Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams had to overcome momentary losses to star players during a grueling season, but they persevered, and now Super Bowl LIV has a chance to become an all-time great. The 49ers are arguably the most complete team in the league, one that after the return of Kwon Alexander and Dee Ford this postseason appears capable of slowing down the Chiefs' offense, which is one of the NFL's most explosive units and is led by Patrick Mahomes, who himself had to miss time due to injury early in the season.

In the NFC Championship Game, the 49ers dominated the Green Bay Packers from beginning to end, as Raheem Mostert put together a career performance, rushing for 220 yards and four touchdowns. The Chiefs, meanwhile, trailed by double digits in both of their two postseason games this year, but managed to strike back to such a degree that they won both matchups by double digits. Mahomes dazzled with both his legs and arm -- and he threw for 294 yards and three touchdowns. He also led the Chiefs in rushing yards with 53 and another touchdown.

Both of these historic NFL franchises will now duke it out with a chance to become world champions. But which Sunday should you mark on your calendar? When, exactly, is Super Bowl LIV?
