Tuesday night we watched the Democratic debate, hunched over a laptop. We have a perfectly good TV, but the debates aren’t on “normal” TV. Would it break anyone’s heart to put the debates on regular broadcast channels so they can be accessible to all? We don’t have cable. We don’t really watch sports, and we aren’t interested in 40-year-old reruns. We just have regular channels, including public television. Cable costs at least $100 a month, and we consider it a waste of money. I’m not really familiar with CNN, but I also thought that its after-debate “analysis” was uninteresting. So what’s the deal? Give me real TV access.
